- I really like the recipes in this book! I checked it out at the library and after I looked at later I knew I had to have one. There are lot of things in here I want to try! This year had been one of change for me and my husband. I stopped eating gluten due to some health issues and we also became empty-nesters. We started using a food service, which broadened our palate a lot because in the past, making drastically different meals on a trial basis was not in our budget. Now, in addition to the food service, we try to test a few recipes a week from other sources. We plan to use this cookbook to find even more delicious, healthy food! - I don't usually write reviews but if this can help anyone looking for a Paleo cookbook I have to review. This is not a Paleo Cookbook, It may be a delicious cookbook but it is not Paleo. And if you are Whole30 don't bother there is nothing in this book for you. Its a beautiful cookbook and when I cheat I will use it, but its not Paleo. Every other recipe relies on high fat dairy, I'm sorry thats not Paleo thats Keto. There is lots of use of alternative sweeteners and if your doing the Whole30 thats not compliant. I feel like this writer/blogger had great recipe ideas but wanted to jump on the very popular Paleo bandwagon. If it was called Eat Drink Cookbook I would give it more stars but because I thought I was buying a Paleo useful cookbook I can only give it one, I give it less if would let me. I feel kind of bamboozled, thank goodness I got it used but I wonder did the original purchaser feel the way I do, because this book looks unused.
- I continually use this as reference for information (partuculary the intro graphics section at the beginning) as I start my journey into paleo. However, If you’re a paleo purist this book is not for you as it contains cheese and other processed inclusions. I still have it 5 stars despite this because she explains her choices at the beginning and I don’t mind the inclusions.
