TExES History 712 Study Guide Rapid Review 20192020 Test Prep and Practice Questions for the TExES Exam Cirrus Teacher Certification Exam Prep Team 9781635304831 Books Reviews

  • Make no mistake about it, serious changes are taking place in textbooks across the nation with TExES perhaps being among the more volatile. Officially this is a test prep book but currently licensed teachers will appreciate the ease and convenience of keeping up to date on changes as well. Clear, easy to read and easy to understand this provides brief explanations as well as 2 prep test examples.
  • Free DVD offer on inside cover. That plus the 2 practice tests makes this an excellent study guide. The study guide provides information from World History to Social Studies to Foundations. With practice tests with over 100 questions. I found this guide useful. I recommend buying if you are planning to take the TExES Exam.
  • Great book! Well-written and easy to understand. It will help you tremendously while studying.
The pages are bright and the layout is great making the material easy to read.
  • it would be useful for anyone wanting to know more about it!

This book also includes online access to a Practice Test (Yes, there is one in the book as well), Flash Cards that can be reviewed on your computer/table/smart phone, cheat sheets. There is also a Youtube video about scoring higher on the exam - which most people who get this will be taking. Additionaly, there is a Test Prep DVD you can order.

The book is in three parts and begins with a review of World History going back to the Neolithic. It touches on things such as the Sumerian's, the Empires in China, and the MesoAmerican/Andean Empires. At the end of the section are some practice questions. Next is a section of U.S. History, beginning for Europeans came here. It too has practice questions at the end of the section. (The first two sections are about 50 pages each, while the part restricted to Texas History about 37 pages, with some practice questions included at the end. The practice test is multiple choice, and I like it quite a bit as some of the answers are not just A, but may be 2 or more of the ones listed. I thought the review was excellent.

I received this book at no cost to myself by the publisher, this is my voluntary review.
